We as a school community are so proud of the diversity at Red Oak School. The Red Oak Diversity Committee led our school in some activities through the month of October to celebrate diversity. To mark Disability Awareness Month, we enjoyed the opportunity to learn through a school-wide assembly–”The Life of Helen Keller”. This event reminds us of the value we all have as unique and special individuals.

Thanks to the Red Oak PTA for sponsoring the visit of author Aaron Reynolds in October. Mr. Reynolds presented to all grade levels. Superhero Math involved the younger grade levels in discovering how math comes in handy every day. Joey Fly, Super Spy had older students solving a mystery revolving around genre elements. The students had a great deal of fun while learning! Here is a photo of a second grader having a great time!

Thank you Red Oak Families for coming out for the 2nd Annual Locker Visit today at Red Oak School! Certainly it was another huge success! It is always so much fun to see how much everyone has grown since we were last together in June!
On behalf of the Red Oak Staff, I want to share how much we are all looking forward to first day of school tomorrow and a wonderful new year.
